迷人的花香

 

我于秋天在花盆裡種了晚香玉，這樣我就可以享受它們的香味了。 夏季來了。 晚香玉的精華氣味濃郁，是壓倒性的。 

花的香味完在晚上 8 點左右後出現。 很突然，很意外。 每天在同一時間，這朵花釋放出桃子的果香，變成麝香、甜美、擁抱性，然後是辛辣——介乎於丁香和肉荳蔻之間——逐漸讓位於雲呢拿和天芥菜，並逐漸消退到午夜。 

這TUBEROSA香水就這樣誕生了。

Enchanting Gourmand Floral 

In autumn, I planted tuberoses in pots so I could enjoy their scent. Summer came. The smell of the extract is rich, overwhelming, but it doesn’t move me. An extract is a freeze-frame, a scent frozen in time, a synopsis. 

The scent of the flower is something else entirely, emerging at around 8 o’clock in the evening, or an
hour or so later. It’s sudden, surprising. Each day, at the same time, the flower releases fruity notes of peach
that become musky, sweet, enveloping, then spicy - somewhere between cloves and nutmeg - gradually giving way to vanilla and heliotrope, and fading towards midnight. And thus the perfume was born. 

 

 

Jean-Claude Ellena is considered to be one of the greatest perfumers in the world. He has been leaving his mark on the landscape of French Haute Parfumerie for more than fifty years. After occupying a position as the exclusive, in-house perfumer at Hermès, he is now the Olfactive Creation Director at Le Couvent Maison de Parfum. For him, this partnership is like love at first sight. It is a story of people coming together, of sharing, of cherished commonality.
